Chemical Reactions

Chemical Reactions can be written in different types of symbolic form but, they have to be under the right temperature and pressure with the proper catalyst, which can greatly increase the rate of its reaction without getting involved in the reaction.  \

1. Combustion: A reaction is when oxygen combines with another compound to form water and carbon dioxide. they are exothermic which prodeuce heat.

2.Synthesis: Reacton when two or more compounds combine to make a complicated one.

3) Decomposition: reaction is the opposite of a synthesis reaction - a complex molecule breaks down to make simpler ones.

4) Single displacement:  when one element trades places with another element in a compound

5) Double displacement: when the anions and cations of two different molecules switch places, forming two entirely different compounds.

6) Acid-base: This is a special kind of double displacement reaction that takes place when an acid and base react with each other. The H+ ion in the acid reacts with the OH- ion in the base, causing the formation of water

Post Lab Rebort P.1

When we put a drop of NaOH into the copper chloride, it went from blue to purple. After it mixed though, it went from black to its original color. When we put the the NaOH in the iron chloride, it turned orange into a darker shade of it after about 3-4 drops.

CONCLUSION: When i added drops of NaOH to the copper chloride, i believe it turned into CuCl3. The phenolphthalen  i believe, is what made the iron & copper chloride turn into a darker shade of its color.
ERROR ANALYSIS: What I believe what i did wrong was that we added to much red/pink phenolphthalen before it began to show clearly . Or maybe an indecisive drop of NaOh into the copper chloride and maybe the mixture wasn't mixed well enough.

Four Quantum Numbers

Every electron has has a set of four numbers called Quantum Numbers. They are
Principal Quantum number (n)
Angular Momentum Quantum Number (l)-
Magnetic Quantum Number (m)

Spin Quantum Number(+1/2 and -1/2)

"n"  tells you the energy level of the electron.
"l" is the sublevel
"ml" tells you which orbital its in
"m" tells you if the electron is going to have a positive or negative 1/2 spin

Their important because describe the typres of electrons on their

Time Management & L.C.M.

Law of Conservation of Mass
Law of Multiple Proportions
Law of Division Proportions

Time Management & L.C.M.

I need to turn in all missing assignments and all work next Friday at the end of the first grading period. I will begin studying every night by reviewing each section and reviewing and understanding Superman conversions, formulas, unit measurements, and how to determine significant digits. I will study one section per night after I finish all my other homework. When I'm done reviewing, I'll do practice problems in the textbook so I know that I understand how to solve problems.

Superman Conversions

When your converting different versions of methods, you have to determine what to start with and when to know how to multiply/divide certain things into certain steps to convert them.
