Chemical Reactions

Chemical Reactions can be written in different types of symbolic form but, they have to be under the right temperature and pressure with the proper catalyst, which can greatly increase the rate of its reaction without getting involved in the reaction.  \

1. Combustion: A reaction is when oxygen combines with another compound to form water and carbon dioxide. they are exothermic which prodeuce heat.

2.Synthesis: Reacton when two or more compounds combine to make a complicated one.

3) Decomposition: reaction is the opposite of a synthesis reaction - a complex molecule breaks down to make simpler ones.

4) Single displacement:  when one element trades places with another element in a compound

5) Double displacement: when the anions and cations of two different molecules switch places, forming two entirely different compounds.

6) Acid-base: This is a special kind of double displacement reaction that takes place when an acid and base react with each other. The H+ ion in the acid reacts with the OH- ion in the base, causing the formation of water
